About Me

Born and raised in Des Moines, IA.  Art has been a love of mine for as long as I can remember and I have been gifted with the ability to draw animals in a life like manner.

I moved to Oklahoma in 1989 while working in the automotive business where I met and married Mark Jewell. Working long hours kept me from two of the things I love, my art and my animals.

We moved to Steamboat Springs, CO in 1993 and had the chance to slow down just a little. We eventually purchased a property that gave us the room to keep our horses and dogs, and gave me the opportunity to watch God's creation at play. One of my goals is to never have to live without horses again. We moved back to Oklahoma in 2003 and live on 10 acres with 7 dogs, 3 horses and a constant flow of foster puppies.

I am a board member of Sommer's Rescue Transport, a non-profit that transports dogs out of high risk areas to rescues in states that don't have an overpopulation problem.
